Bjork picked up the coveted Best Female Performance trophy at the Cannes Film Festivalearlier this year for her performance in Dancer In The Dark. Director Lars Von Trier also grabbed the Palme d'Or prize for his musical, but after an early release in the UK and Scotland, critics had few kind words for the film. To help support their film Film Four is offering a money back guarantee when the film slams 37 screens across the UK and Ireland on September 29th. The special money back offer will only be in effect for the opening night release.
Selmasongs, the score / album from the film is being equally bashed for it's steep price and scrawny content. The album is priced at $18.99 containing only seven tracks with a running time of 33 minutes.
Dancer In The Dark recently stormed the New York Film Festival, grabbing a nice sum of $91,000 while only being viewed on 3 screens in the States. The film hits Los Angeles October 6th, and additional cities October 20th.
