The Charlatans LA

The Charlatans are kicking it in lala land recording their new album. Producing this gem will be none other than Black Grape producer Danny Saber. The crew along with Danny have been locked up for the past two weeks in Saber's house on Wonderland Avenue in Los Angeles, California. During the sessions the Charlatans recorded five out of the 16 new tracks that will appear on the follow up to last year's Us and Us Only. The new record will hit heads in the Spring of next year on MCA.

Songs and material seem to come easy for the lads, but a firm album tittle still has yet to be nailed down. Love Is The Key, A Man Needs To Be Told, Judas, Witchcraft, Look At Me, We're So Pretty and Wonderland are all working tittles (We're So Pretty is our pick).

Charlatans front man Tim Burgess rapped with NME recently about how they hooked up with the former Grape Danny Saber. "Pretty much every time we played in LA he's always there, and we used to meet him. "He's been loving our group for fucking ages and it's one of those things that happened and we're hoping we'll be
able to record an LP with him. It's going really, really well, I love it. "The new stuff's funky, rather than The Charlatans trying to prove that we're really good songwriters. We're good
songwriters, good players, and now there's a really good vibe as well."
