Rock & Roll, American Music Awards Stylee

The American Music Awards list of nominees was released on November 13, and, boy are
they interesting. In the category of "Alternative Music" (alternative to WHAT, one may
ask), the nominees for the January 8, 2001 awards ceremony in Los Angeles are the
Red Hot Chili Peppers and those two bands forever entwined in friendship and
good will, Limp Bizkit and Creed. If Fred Durst thought that the
goings on at last September's MTV Music Awards were strange, wait until
January.

Floridian rockers Creed (what IS up with Florida these days?) are also up for two
other awards, including Best Band, Duo or Group and Best Album, for No Strings
Attached
. And I always thought that was the name of a Phil Collins album.
