Ashcroft Makes Like Willie Nelson

Richard Ashcroft has recovered from the "illness" that forced him to cancel his US
tour in November, and is "on the road again" in his native England. The former
Verve frontman kicked off his mini multi-continent tour with a a pair of gigs in
Manchester over the weekend, fresh off the heels of his opening slot on last week's
blockbuster webcast Madonna show in London. Ashcroft, who is touring
this time around with a 10-piece band, including a horn section and his wife,
ex-Spiritualized member, Kate Radley on keyboards, will play a few
warm-up dates in the UK before heading over to North America in the new year.
