Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals plan to take the United States hostage in the year 2001. March 13 they will release a double live album, and help spread the word, they will launch a cross-country tour kicking off February 2 in Boston. The new CD will most likely be called Live and will feature various live tracks from the Burn to Shine LP.
“We multitrack every show to a 24-track [board]. … It will be a well-rounded representation of the music that I make,” Harper recently said of the project. Expect a mix of full band electric material as well as some solo acoustic goods. The 2 disc set is being overseen by Harper and his longtime producer, J.P. Plunier, and we can expect a complete track listing soon.
