The apocalyptic art band Tool will shine in the year 2001. Just in time for holiday shopping, the band released their Salival CD and DVD set, which brought fans closer to the band. Salival features live and unreleased songs and all of the group's videos. Tool has now confirmed that they have wrapped the recording session on their new album and are currently mixing that sucker down. The band does not have a name for their forthcoming CD, but never disappoint in the abstract name department. The band's first studio release since 1996's Aenima will drop April 17th.
To coincide with their album release, Tool will also launch a new site at dissectional.com that will act as a sister site to the band's current toolband.com. Along with the new album the band will also be launching a new web site the same day at dissectional.com that will complement their current official site toolband.com. Expect a video from the band soon, and a tour is ultimately to follow.
