After weeks of rumor and conjecture, rock and roll fans all across America have had
their dreams come true: Oasis and The Black Crowes are touring the
States together! While pairing off two bands known for drunken debauchery and
serious brotherly battling seems at the least, dangerous, the truth of the matter is that a
package tour of two classically rocking bands isn't that bad of an idea after all. While
the dates of the tour are yet to be confirmed, it is believed to run from May 25 - June
25, according to Oasis' Noel Gallagher.
Gallagher also reiterated that the band had written 19 songs for the next record,
including some by himself, some by his brother Liam, and for the first time,
some by other members of the band. He also stated that the band were hoping to move
back in a rockier direction, which this upcoming tour should surely help.
Oasis are currently on a 10 day tour of South America, including playing the
Rock In Rio festival in Brazil, alongside such diverse acts as Papa Roach and Guns 'N' Roses.
