At the Drive-In Boys go Dub

At the Drive-In is simply too damn good to be confined to only one bandÖso frontman Cedric Bixler and guitarist Omar Rodriguez use their side-project, Defacto, to express their latent dub-music side. Defacto (which also includes bandmates Ikey Owens and Jeremy Ward) has started work on an album to be released later this year on Grand Royal Records, and to be produced by Beastie Boys maestro Mario Caldato Jr. The band has played several scattered shows in California over the past few months, and are scheduled to head to Europe for a three-week stint in March.

Grand Royal plans to release a European single from Defacto entitled "456 132 015" to coincide with the tour, it should be available in the U.S. in April.

Meanwhile, At the Drive-In is still riding high on the success of their latest release "Relationship of Command" and are currently on the road in Japan.
