U2 frontman Bono is taking a little time off being a rock star to continue his efforts to help erase debt in the third world. He's scheduled to join the man who could just pay the damn debt off himself, Bill Gates, and the United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan at a meeting of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland this weekend. Bono will address the gathering of powerful economic and political leaders and make the case for reducing/eliminating the insurmountable debt owed by poor countries to rich countries that can survive without it. The conference kicks off today.
