Word is that those sad Scots, Travis, have resumed recording for their un-named follow-up to "The Man Who," set for a summer release. As they did for their London mixing sessions late last year, the group will install a Web cam to allow fans to track their progress via the band's Web site, www.travisonline.com.
The Posies are also keeping the new material coming. The band is readying the release of an upcoming EP, "Nice Cheekbones and a Ph.D" due out March 6 on Badman Records.
Not to be outdone, System of a Down is working hard on a follow-up to their self-titled 1998 debut, the new album is due out in late June or early July.
Last but not least, those radio hitmeisters Semisonic want to teach us "All About Chemistry," out on March 6 on MCA. The follow-up promises to be pretty much the same thing as before.
