For a man with coronary troubles, Everlast doesn't seem to be taking any steps to keep his heart rate down. The ex-House of Painer-turned- folkie reportedly went a li'l wacky at his solo show at Detroit's St. Andrews Hall last Friday. Apparently, after playing the old House of Pain staple, "Jump Around," he launched into a rant where he name-checked everyone from Limp Bizkit to Smash Mouth (the Mouth are known for covering "Jump Around"), to Pringles (which uses "Jump Around" in a TV ad), and of course, well-known nemesis Eminem and his new posse project D-12.
Everlast then invited audience members up to the mic to speak out if they disagreed with anything he was saying Ö at which point, he was bum-rushed by half the crowd in attendance (some reports place D-12 at the scene). He was forced to exit the stage after grabbing his acoustic in self-defense. Several people were treated after the show for minor injuries, and there's been no peep from Everlast yet about the incident.
