U2, Coldplay & Radiohead win at NME Awards

Radiohead, Primal Scream, U2 and newcomers Coldplay are the big winners at this year's New Musical Express awards. The awards (commonly known in the UK as "The Brats," mocking the hoighty twoighty Brit awards), are selected by the readers of the NME weekly mag. U2 were honored with the Godlike Genius and Best Rock Act awards. Coldplay earned the Best New Artist and Best Single for "Yellow." Radiohead was named Best Band, and Primal Scream's "Xtrmntr" got the nod for Best Album.
