Tuesday Express - Gray Cancels European Tour, G. Love, Autechre

David Gray canceled his European tour due to an illness in the family. The English singer songwriter turned superstar has squashed dates beginning Feb. 28 in Madrid through March 8 in Paris according to a spokesperson from Little Big Man. Gray is not speaking about the details of the illness, but fully intends to reschedule and perform the cancelled dates. The North American dates are still on like Donkey Kong and are set to kickoff April 12 in Minneapolis.

G. Love and Special Sauce will be back in that ass April 24 with the release their fifth album, The Electric Mile, on Epic/Okeh Records. The Philly funksters will be joined by John Medeski of Medeski, Martin, and Wood, who plays keyboards, and Morphine drummer Billy Conway, who helps out on with the skins. G. Love along with Chris DiBeneditto produced the piece, with Michael Barbeiro (the Alarm, Blues Traveler) sharing co-production cred. The is the first studio release since 1999's Philadelphonic, and features the first single "Unified" co-written by G. Love and Ras of the Long Beach Dub Allstars.

Autechre are ready rock a new nine song LP titled Confield on April 16th. The duo of Sean Booth and Rob Brown will reportedly tour later in the year, but nothing has been confirmed. Autechre have released several experiments for the Warp Records label including their latest work The Peel Sessions 2. Check warprecords.com for more information.
