No Kill No Beep Beep

Feel this energy! The Chicago office has been playing the shit out of this record, and felt that your ears should be affected by this sparkplug of delight. Q and Not U are an intense quartet from D.C., home of sonically similar counterparts Fugazi, the Make Up, and Burning Airlines. No Kill No Beep Beep is as powerful and addictive as the Sopranos, recorded by Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios in June of 2000. Romantically hypnotic vocals from three different singers, spastic guitars that scream "Welcome to the D.C. hardcore scene may I take your order?", and fun fun fun 'til the daddy hotwires the T-Bird and sells it for parts. "Fever Sleeves" is surge of punk energy matched recently by the likes of At The Drive-In or the International Noise Conspiracy, taking punk rock into another stratosphere. This album puts you in a headlock and dares you to beg for mercy.
