Tuesday Express: Joey Ramone Hospitalized, Joan Of Arc Album





The singer from one of the greatest and most influential punk bands of the late 70ís The Ramones has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, a type of cancer. Joey Ramone, the 49 year old singer is camped out in a New York hospital and is reportedly well on the road to recovery. There is no information on how advanced the cancer is at this time.


Chicagoís Joan Of Arc will release their follow up to 2000ís The Gap, when they relinquish How Can Any Thing So Little Be Any More. The college rock artsies will be taking some left over recordings from the Gap sessions, which producer Casey Rice did not want to put on the bandís last double album. The album will drop May 15, 2001 on Jade Tree. The nasal whininess of Tim Kinsella was just released on his solo LP under the name Tim Kinsellas on the Troubleman Label.
