Thursday Express - Farrell's New Festival; Courtney's Got A Metal Band

Will the inventive mind of Perry Farrell ever cease? The Jane's Addiction
frontman, one of the founders of a little touring festival called Lollapalooza, has decided to plan
another touring festival, this one entitled Jubilee. There haven't been and bands or dates yet
announced, but it is believed to include bands and DJs and incorporate both rock and electronic
music. Rumors abound that Jane's Addiction will play the festival, as they are
reforming to play the Coachella Festival and a date in Santa Barbara a few days prior.
Regardless of whether they play Jubilee, it looks like they will be touring the States during the
late summer. Stay tuned...

Courtney Love has approached ex-Babes In Toyland lead singer Kat
Bjelland about joining Love in her new all-girl metal outfit Bastard, only to
be rebuffed. Evidently, Ms. Courtney had a laundry list of rules to accept, prior to
joining the band, according to Bjelland. "It was crazy stuff, like 'no talking about the
past', 'no doing drugs in the studio', 'you're practicing this many hours of the day', 'you'll get this
amount of money'." Bastard's album is due out on Epitaph Records, if they can ever
finalize a line-up.
