Weezer Admits Pinkerton Stinky

Admitting what a lot of us suspected but were afraid to say 'cause we didn't want to lose cool points, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo recently fessed up about their self-produced sophomore album, Pinkerton saying they really "screwed up the last record so bad that no one would play it." As a result, they've gone back to the tried-and-true pop genius of ex-Car Ric Ocasek to produce the upcoming record, The Green Album, out May 15th (he also produced their stellar 1994 debut). Cuomo continued, "We decided to use a producer this time around because we screwed up the last recordÖhe [Ocasek] gives you advice about all kinds of things that no one else can give you, because they haven't been through the type of experiences that he has and we have."
