Free All Angels

As I stated before, Ash are back, and rising to heights not seen in years. Their
fourth long player, Free All Angels finds the Northern Irish quartet returning to
their roots, playing songs with punchy guitars and driving bass lines. Power chords will
never grow tiresome and Ash put some new spins on their sound this time
around, as well, incorporating some dancier elements, as on the Jesus & Mary
Chain "Reverence"-influenced "Submission" and aiming for radio success with more
downtempo ballady string section inflected numbers like "Someday." It seems
Dreamworks is no longer on the Ash bandwagon, so hopefully someone will pick
this record up so the joy of the band may be shared by all.
