Lush, the melancholy pioneers whose career was cut short when drummer Christopher Acland committed suicide in 1996, is getting the retrospective treatment from their erstwhile record label, 4AD. Entitled Ciao!: The Best of Lush, the record compiles 18 tracks, spanning their brief career from 1989's debut EP, Scar, to their 1996 swan song, Lovelife. It will be sequenced chronologically, from their most recent material to their earliest, and will include a 20-page, full-color booklet containing a lengthy history of the band.
