Despite being very open about wanting to take a break from all the nuttiness, the Foo Fighters are preparing to record the follow up to 1999's Nothing Left to Lose. Frontman Dave Grohl explains on their website (www.foofighters.com), "As much as we'd like to take a vacation and enjoy life outside of the band, I think we've finally realized that the best part about life is this band, and there's nothing we'd rather do. So, we've been demo-ing a bunch of new songs and it looks like it won't be too long before we really start in on the record...we're all more excited about this than anything we've ever done."
Grohl will take the summer to complete work on his heavy metal side-project Probot which features vocals from Slayer's Tom Araya and Motorhead's Lemmy
Kilmister, among others.
