Monday Express-De La Back With Intelligence II; Mode Covers Stooges

Hip-hop flower children and alternative pioneers De La Soul are readying their latest release, with
some help from fellow hip-hop hierarchy. Art Official Intelligence II, the ever so cleverly named
album, following last year's Art Official Intelligence I, will feature guest contributions from a myriad
different sources. Rumored to feature on Intelligence II are a wide range of playas, from
Ghostface Killah to Slick Rick to Cypress Hill's B-Real. The album is
believed to hit shelves in October, with a US tour soon to follow.

Evidently, it's a day for pioneer news, as electro-pop trendsetters Depeche Mode find themselves in
the news today, as well. The synth superstars have announced that their next single will be "I Feel Loved"
(by the way, isn't it vaguely illegal to have a song entitled "I Feel Loved" if you already have one called "I
Feel You? A lot of feeling happening in the Mode camp.) and will feature a few remixes, including one
from Danny Tenaglia. Best of all, however, is that a b-side will be a cover of the instrumental track
"Dirt" by The Stooges. Cover songs are COOL.
