Get Your Bjork On

The highly anticipated new album from Bjork, Vespertine, will finally be released on August 28th via Elektra. The pop angel will fly across Europe before landing in the states for a handful of limited shows in both large and small venues. Matmos will open for the goddess with their own half-hour set, as well as Zeena Parkins, and the Il Novecento Orchestra. Bjork is excited to perform sans microphone in some of the smaller venues, to allow the intimacy of her forthcoming album to breathe throughout the the church, or attic, or wherever she plans to play. With the exception of two confirmed Radio City Music Hall dates, the majority of the tour will be announced the day of the show and will sell out faster than Metallica did.
