SeeThru Broadcasting Goes Blind





Corporate-funded independent labels are shaking in their boots as SeeThru announces plans to shut down. The label, run by ex-Barkmarket frontman Dave Sardy, lost its funding from the Belgium-based PIAS Records and, as a result, have no choice but to close its doors.SeeThruís seven band roster, including Enon, the Starlight Mints and the Radar Bros., will be visiting their local unemployment offices this month in hopes of landing a new job.PIAS also axed funding for their PIAS America label, who issued the domestic pressing of Sigur Rosí Agaetis Byrjun. This will once again send the album into the import bins until it can be reissued by the bandís new label, MCA.
