NYC Disaster Causes Alteration of Strokes Track Listing

In yet another case of fallout from last week's horrible events in Manhattan, local boys
The Strokes have pushed back the release of their record due to the inclusion of a
potentially unsavory song. The track "New York City Cops" has been removed from their
debut album, Is This It, as the band thought the lyrics inappropriate at this time. With
all strain the NYPD has been under, the couplets of "New York City cops, they ain't too
smart; They dress like robots, but they act like jerks," didn't seem like the kind of song the
band wanted to release at this time. The album, which was due to be released next week on
September 25, will now hit shelves October 9 with the replacement track "When It
Started."
