International Superhits

International Superhits is the tittle of Green Day's greatest hits album, and oh what a treat it is. We're serious. Spanning the trio from Berkeley's career of a decade, International Superhits take pieces of gold from Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, and Warning. Sadly nothing was extracted from the Lookout recordings 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours or Kerplunk, although technically they did not contain any "mainstream" hits, we would have loved to have seen "2,000 Light Years Away", "Christie Road", or "Paper Lanterns" appear on this tasty compilation. "J.A.R." (Jason Andrew Relva) even slides in off the Angus soundtrack, which was seen by NO ONE, but the soundtrack was dope (Weezer, Smoking Popes, Ash). Two new songs appear on this record, "Maria" and "Poprocks & Coke", both of which are keepsakes. "Maria" is a randy little whippersnapper and sounds like it was stripped from the Warning recordings, with it's action packed punch. "Poprocks & Coke" is a little less aggressive but still reinforces my love our the Sweet Children. We are sure that you have all of the discs anyway, but go ahead and pick this piece up rather than burn all of the tracks onto one record...Reprise did you the favor already.
