Tuesday Express - Lollapalooza Back For 2002?, Coldplay Gettin' Tour On

Miss the halcyon days of, say, 1994, when a summer festival meant a diverse array of
bands, mostly "alternative" acts, with some flava thrown in, instead of 3478 nu-metal
bands (although Area: One was pretty damn cool)? Well, if Perry Farrell has his
way, you may be in luck. The Lollapalooza founder is looking at bringing back his
flagship summer festival starting next year. The plans are still in their infancy, but the
Jane's Addiction frontman has plans in motion, including corporate sponsorship
opportunities, to make this a reality. We'll keep you posted.

UK guitar-pop mavens Coldplay are heading back to the States for a short tour,
primarily comprised of radio shows and make up dates for previously canceled shows.
The quartet, whose debut album Parachutes just was certified Gold in the US, will
start their tour on November 28 in Providence, RI, and will be here at least through
December 9 for the second day of the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas

Those dates in full:

(WBRU Birthday Bash)

11/30: Chicago, IL - Chicago Theatre (make-up date)

12/1: Fairfax, VA - Patriot Center (WHFSmas Holiday Nutcracker)
