Drukqs' Success Paves The Way For Re-Releases

Critically acclaimed U.K dance master, Aphex Twin, riding the coattails of his latest release Drukqs, is planning to reissue two of his earlier albums. On February 12th, PIAS America, who has recently graced the US of A with such musical jems as Sigur RÛs and the Reindeer Section, will be offering up 1993ís Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and 1995ís Classics for stateside re-release. If the title of Selected Ambient Works is to be believed, it includes tracks recorded by Richard D. James at the age of 14. Classics compiles material from the alias-happy James (a.k.a. Aphex Twin, a.k.a. Polygon Window) from an array of early 90ís EPs. These albums will reportedly remain free form the standard re-issuing schemes, which means no re-mastering, no new packaging, and no bonus tracks.
