Wednesday Express - Warp Starts Film Company; Remixes, Ahoy!

Seminal dance label Warp, home to such electronic luminaries as Black Dog,
Sabres of Paradise, Autechre, and LFO, as well as the
re-releasetastic Aphex Twin, have announced plans to start a film company. The
oh-so-originally monikered Warp Films will release primarily short films, the first being
"Spectral Musicians" by Aphex's twisted video producing director Chris
Cunningham. The due date for this mongoloid baby is March of next year.

Remixers, ahoy! Some fancy remixes are being shown the light of day. The reigning king
of pop electronica, Moby, will have a remix appear on the upcoming B-52's
box set, entitled Nude On The Moon: The B-52's Anthology. The bald one remixed
"Is That You, Mo-Dean" back in 1992, but it's now finally reaching the surface. In other
remix news, Radiohead and Travis producer extraordinaire Nigel
Godrich has reworked U2's "Walk On." The track will feature on a UK CD
single as a double a-side with an acoustic rendition of "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get
Out Of." No word as to US availability as of now.
