Kid Rock, J. Lo, and Ja Rule are scheduled to perform at an undisclosed overseas military base on the first of the new year to bring some holiday cheer to our fighting men and women. For the Troops: An MTV / USO Special will air on MTV and will feature interviews with US servicemen and women as well as performances from the three stars. USO, who are co-producing the show with MTV, have been organizing entertainment for US troops since WWII. Kid Rockís thoughts on performing, "I feel that it's my part as an American [to participate]. If they needed me to pick up a gun, I'm happy to do that too, but I think this is my place. Right now, I'm ecstatic to go over and entertain the people who are fighting for my freedoms, because I do take advantage of my freedoms. I'm going to bring them a show that's going to peel their wig back," he added. "Those guys are going to forget we're at war." While Iím sure none of our soldiers are fighting a war so that Kid Rock can smoke pot and screw pornstars, itís nice to see a young white trash man trying to make a positive contribution instead of being satisfied with trying to run over Middle-Easterners with a pick-up truck. However, if he really wants to make a contribution that will benefit all of mankind, Kid Rock should announce his retirement as a pseudo-musician and return to his life of drinking Natural Light and watching monster truck rallies from the couch at his momís trailer house.
