B-Boys Check Their Head For New Songs / Mixmaster Mike Never Slows Down





After organizing two successful benefit shows for those affected by the September 11th tragedy, the Beastie Boys have begun work on the follow-up to 1998ís Hello Nasty. Along with Mixmaster Mike, who needs no introduction, the Beasties have announced that they are now undertaking the challenging writing process, which is sure produce some politically charged atomic energy. The group is expecting to enter the studio in early 2002, no word on a possible street date yet. Mixmaster Mike says, "Right now, we're at the incubation stage. We've got all the beats in the incubator. They're eggs. We're waiting for them to hatch." As always, Mike has his hands full in the coming months as he will be burning up the ones and twos for Method of Mayhemís forthcoming album as well as organizing the triumphant return of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz.
