Green Day Get An Acting Gig Playing Themselves

Veteran punk rock trio Green Day will be guest starring on Showtimeís Chris Isaak Show during next years run of new episodes. The California bred punk-pop revivalists finished filming the episode a few weeks ago for the Jan. 27 air date, and if you can call destroying amps and trashing Chrisís house acting, then they are deserving of some serious praise. Filmed in Vancouver, the episode, titled "The Wrong Number," also features a jam session between Billie Joe and Isaak. In related news, reports are flying in of an as-yet-unnamed Chris Isaak alter ego similar to Garth Brooksí ill-fated Chris Gains, who will release a punk / power-pop album in early 2002. The project is still up for grabs however, as Isaakís love for sparkly cowboy clothes and perfectly combed hair may prevent him from jumping on board.
