Some of rocks brightest stars, including Queens Of The Stone Age, Yo La Tengo, Fountains Of Wayne and Damon Albarn, will be among the artists paying homage to legendary Brits, The Kinks. The tribute album titled, This is Where I Belong ñ The Songs of Ray Davies & The Kinks, will reach the awaiting public on April 1 via Rykodisc worldwide. Davies himself makes an appearance on the album to pay tribute to, well ñ himself, alongside longtime admirer Damon Albarn on "Waterloo Sunset." Davies was praised during the early 90ís installment of the British invasion by such groups as Oasis and Blur, who cited The Kinks as one of their major influences. By the way, this story has nothing to do with Sub Popís Kinks tribute released earlier this year, featuring The Murder City Devils and Mudhoney, amongst others. The Minus 5 make an appearance on both tributes playing "Wicked Annabella" on Sub Pop and "Get Back In Line" on the Rykodisc release.
