Pioneering thrash metal band Slayer, who recently lost their drummer Paul Bostaph to a chronic elbow injury, will be offering amateur time-keepers the chance to fill the vacant position. Aspiring devil worshipers must videotape themselves drumming to ten Slayer tracks from seven different albums, as well as create a short bio and list of musical credits, according to Rolling Stone. Slayer will then hold three auditions: February 1 in Peoria, IL, February 7 in Dallas and February 13 in San Francisco. Tapes for the first audition must be sent in by January 26, while February 1 is the last submission date for the final two auditions. Slayer will be touring in support of their publicity stunt with original drummer Dave Lombardo banging the skins until a permanent replacement is found.
