Guitar Thieves On The Loose, Ashcroft Files Missing Axe Report

The same night former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft was the surprise special guest for Oasisí charity concert at the London Royal Albert Hall, some jackass ran off with his guitar. At the event last Wednesday (February 6), Ashcroft performed a 20 minute acoustic set, playing two new untitled songs and a number of tunes from his Verve days, including "Lucky Man" and "Bittersweet Symphony." According to NME.com, his Gibson J200 vintage sunburst acoustic, with serial number 9Z808003, was stolen from inside the stage door of the hall. Ashcroft is offering a reward for the cherry axe, however, rather than rewarding the dirty thief, a donation will be made to the Teenage Cancer Trust upon the guitarís safe return. If anyone has any information, they are asked to send an e-mail to Bob@terraartists.com. Look for a new Richard Ashcroft set later this year.
