Eels Slithering To A Club Near You

LA-based rock outfit, Eels, will hit the road in March in support of their forthcoming DreamWorks release Souljacker. However, John Parish, who produced and co-wrote a handful of songs on the album, will be absent from the touring lineup. According to Billboard, Parish is sitting this one out due to the arrival of new baby and will be replaced by Joe Gore (Tom Waits, PJ Harvey). In addition to permanent members, frontman E and drummer Butch Norton, touring bassist Koool G Murder will also be along for the ride. Souljacker is set to hit the streets March 12, and features several tracks that have been used in the short film Twelve Miles to Trona. The ten-minute film is directed by Wim Wenders and is part of Ten Minutes Older, a collaborative project by as many as 15 directors, including Bernardo Bertolucci, Jean Luc Godard, and Spike Lee. The film will premiere in May at the Cannes Film Festival. Click more for Eels tour dates.
