Pearl Jam Back In The Studio, Could Be Last Epic Effort

Legendary alternative rockers Pearl Jam are currently working on their seventh and possibly final studio album for Epic. The band will complete their contractual obligation to the label with the new album and reports suggest that the Seattle-based troop have already begun shopping their services to other labels. According to Billboard the as-yet-untitled new album is being co-produced by Pearl Jam and Adam Kasper, who served as an assistant engineer on Vitalogy and has also worked with Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and Soundgarden. If all goes well, the band hopes to release the album this fall. Eddie Vedder will take the day off from recording today (February 26) to play alongside Beck and Mike Ness of Social Distortion as part of a benefit for the Recording Artist Coalition in Los Angeles. Vedder will also be in LA on March 15 for a solo performance at the All Tomorrowís Parties festival.
