DJ Shadow's Private Press Goes Public May 20

The man who seemingly brought the world of cut and paste to the forefront is prepared to
end his 6-year hiatus and bless us with another album. DJ Shadow has FINALLY
completed his sophomore album (not including 1997's compilation Preemptive
) and his deck wrecking is due to hit shelves on May 20. the Private Press,
will be released on MCA and follows up 1996's seminal album of scratches, samples and
cut and paste mastery by the Davis, California native, entitled Endtroducing. Also, if
you check out his website,, you can order a copy of Product
the mix CD Shadow did in collaboration with Cut Chemist
last year. The joint was so dope that the limited run that was initially pressed up blew out in
no time flat and kids were burning copies and selling it for mad cash, so Shadow
decided enough was enough and re-released it officially, at least through the site. He's got cool t-shirts and videos there, too, so go
support the Beat Nation...
