Claypool Breaths New Life Into Early Primus Recordings





Primus frontman Les Claypool will re-release the band's early, out-of-print works on his own Prawn Song label on April 23. The two re-issues include Primusí debut live EP Suck on This and the bandís first full-length, Frizzle Fry. According to Billboard, both records have been remastered and will include new, Claypool-penned liner notes detailing the albumsí creation. A cover of the Residents "Hello Skinny / Constantinople" will be included as a bonus track on Frizzle Fry. Claypool currently splits his time between two side projects, Les Claypoolís Frog Brigade and Oysterhead, as Primus is on official hiatus. Hippie fav, Oysterhead, which includes Trey Anistasio of Phish and Police drummer Stewart Copeland, released The Grand Pecking Order last October on Elektra.
