The Snare is the title of the third album from Looper, which will be released via Mute on June 4. The brainchild behind the cut and paste outfit, Stuart David, was once a Belle and Sabastian mainstay, and has also written a pair of novels including Nalda Said and most recently The Peacock Manifesto. Looperís last record, The Geometrid, was released on Sub Pop in 2000 to critical acclaim, and helped the band land an opening for The Flaming Lips. If you are in London on May 6th, you can check out Looper at the Royal Festival Hall when they open for another electro-snippet mangler, Cornelius.
