INXS Line Up Tour Dates, Ready Greatest Hits Release

Veteran Aussie rockers INXS have not toured in North America since the death of lead singer Michael Hutchence in 1997, though the band replaced the departed frontman in early 2000 with vocalist Jon Stevens. The band is now gearing up for a 23-date US tour that will support a Rhino Recordsí best of collection creatively titled The Best of INXS along with a trio of re-releases. The best of album, which will hit the streets on June 4, is a 21-track, single-disc collection featuring two new songs with vocals by Hutchence, INXSí seven top-10 hits, ("Need You Tonight," "Devil Inside," "New Sensation," "What You Need," "Never Tear Us Apart," "Disappear," and "Suicide Blonde") other choice cuts, and liner notes penned by the band. According to Billboard, remastered, expanded versions of the groupís platinum Atlantic albums Kick, X, and Welcome to Wherever You Are, will also be re-issued on Rhino on June 4.

1987ís Kick will be re-issued with two unreleased bonus tracks, "Jesus Was a Man" and "The Trap," along with the b-side "Move On" and a demo of "Mystify." 1990ís X will feature the previously unreleased tracks "Waiting To Be Free," "Who Pays the Price," and "Dark of Night." A demo of "Salvation Jane" will also be included.

1992ís Welcome To Wherever You Are will contain the previously unreleased tracks "The Answer" and "Indian Song" as well as alternate versions of "Wishing Well," "All Around," and "Heaven Sent." All re-releases will come packaged with new liners and photos.
