U2 Leaves Behind Second Hits Compilation

World mega-stars U2 are set to release an album in October of this year, although it
will be a greatest hits compilation, and not a new studio album. The band, still riding
the resuscitative success of 2000's All That You Can't Leave Behind, will issue the
second half of their greatest hits series, entitled Best Of: 1991-2000 in October. The hits package takes off where 1998's Best Of: 1980-1990 left off, and as that release included a bonus CD for the first run, hopefully bonus material will be included this time around as well. According to Jam!, the band has decided to cease touring at this point, in order to jump to the studio to start recording their next album. The album isn't expected until 2003, but two singles would precede it, one even being released prior to the new best of hitting shelves.
