Disappearing Act: Lollapalooza's Return Pushed Back A Year

Perry Farrell's famed Lollapalooza touring festival will not be returning this year, as
previously believed. According to MTV, the behemoth will return instead next summer,
making it five years since the last 'palooza. Farrell felt that there was insufficient
time to set up this year's event and wanted to ensure that the headlining act was of a high
enough caliber, so the tour has been suspended until 2003. If you need to fulfill your
lots-of-live-music-and-hot-weather jones, be sure to catch this summer's Ozzfest, for you
metallers, or Warped Tour for the skatepunk/emo-kids. Better yet, go to the best of the
bunch at the end of this month, Coachella in Indio, CA, to catch diverse acts such as
Oasis, Prodigy, Bjork, Chemical Brothers, Siouxsie &
The Banshees, Foo Fighters, Belle & Sebastian, Kosheen,
The Strokes, and The Vines, just to name a few. Now THAT'S a festival to
write home about.
