Beth Orton Breaks The Day July 30

British singer/songwriter Beth Orton, who has loaned her stunning voice to all four Chemical Brothers studio outings, has scheduled a released date for her third studio album. Titled Daybreaker and due out July 30, the release will see the Chems returning the favor, as they hook Orton up with some fat ass beats on the title track. Alt-country workhorse Ryan Adams provides vocals on “Concrete Sky” and composition work on “OK,” while country mainstay Emmylou Harris contributes vocals on “God Song.” The album also features ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr on several tracks. According to MTV.com, Orton will kick off a 17-date North American tour on May 20 in Vancouver.
