Ever-Enthralling Juno Awards Rock Canada, Eh

The Canadian version of music awards that matter, The Juno Awards, took place this past
weekend in Newfoundland and the winners list contained both known and unknown
quantities, at least on this side of the border. Yank faves (at least in a sales sense)
Nickelback were the big winners, taking home three awards, in the categories of Best
Single for "How You Remind Me," Best Rock Album (Silver Side Up) and Best
Group. Nickelback Junior, er, Default also took a Juno home, as Best New
Group. The rest of the awards are pretty much uninspiring, save for a Best Alternative
Album nod for Rufus Wainwright and a complete lack of any sightings of
Rush, Saga, Loverboy or Snow.
