Grohl Says Poo To Foo, Prolongs Stint With QOTSA

It seems as if Dave Grohl, current Foo Fighters frontman, misses banging those skins, as he has decided to put the new Foo album on hold in favor of extending his tenure as the Queens of the Stone Age drummer. The star started his tour of duty with QOTSA when bassist Nick Oliveri asked him to play on a few tracks for the bandís upcoming album, Songs For The Deaf. The Foo frontman enjoyed drumming with a fierce rock band again so much that he ended up playing on all but one of the tracks. In fact, he liked it so much that he pushed back the release date of the Foos follow-up to 1999ís There Is Nothing Left to Lose to hit the road this summer with QOTSA, but tour dates have yet to be confirmed. According to Rolling Stone, The Foo Fighters' as-yet-untitled new full length is now targeted for a September release. It was originally scheduled to hit the streets in late spring/early summer.
