The Vines Highly Evolved Debut Set For Release

Aussie rockers The Vines have been dubbed the next big thing by a number of industry peeps and music mags and on July 16, regular people will have a chance to find out for themselves what Vines fever is all about. The groupís debut album, Highly Evolved, which was produced by knob twisting guru Rob Schnapf (Beck, Foo Fighters, GBV), is set for release on that date via Capitol and from what Iíve heard, itís not going to disappoint. A number of tour dates have been confirmed in support of the album, including a stop at what is turning out to be the concert event of the year, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The Vines will be performing the first night, April 27, which also includes performances by headliner Bj?rk, the Chemical Brothers, Sasha and Digweed, QOTSA, Pete Yorn, and many, many, many more.
