Skeleton Key EP

The UK sure produces some strange bands and The Coral definitely fits into that
category. Tipped for glory in music rags across their native land, the perma-stoned teenage
collective from The Wirral, evidently a breeding ground for loonies outside of Liverpool,
bring "Skeleton Key" for our collective enjoyment. It's a psychedelic freakout, with
numerous instruments, time changes and generalized lunacy, combining elements of surf
guitar,, Cramps-esque vocals and scattered drums. The Coral may not reach
the levels of success the press has attempted to bestow upon them, but the 6-piece will definitely
appeal to fans of other eclectic rock acts such as Super Furry Animals, Gorky's
Zygotic Mynci or even Ween.
