Catch The Sunshine: Cake Recruit Eclectic Line-up for Summer Tour

Quirky all-purpose rockers Cake have put together a well-rounded line up for the Unlimited Sunshine Tour. Cake, who will headline each stop, will be joined by The Flaming Lips, De La Soul, Modest Mouse and the Hackensaw Boys on the 16-date jaunt. Talking to Rolling Stone, Cake frontman John McCrea commented on the diverse line-up: "It's not just rock band, rock band, rock band. I really think a lot of listeners listen to a wide variety of music, and those people unfortunately don't have radio stations to listen to. In a way, we're taking our own frustrations and trying to find some sort of solution." In addition to planning the Unlimited Sunshine Tour, Cake have been in the studio, working on songs for the follow-up to last yearís Comfort Eagle. Donít get too excited about hearing new music this summer however, as McCrea was hesitant to confirm whether or not Cake will dip into their new bag of tricks in a live setting. Check out the complete itinerary.
