Despite the desire of event founder and planner Michael Eavis to keep the lineup of this
year's Glastonbury Festival under wraps, part of the schedule has been leaked to the NME.
Eavis hoped to keep the bands a surprise, as the event, one of Britain's most important
festivals (imagine Coachella x10 combined with huge numbers of concert goers camping out
between nights), had already sold out. The press have their sneaky ways, though, and amongst
the larger acts featured on this year's edition are Coldplay, Garbage, The
Charlatans, The Dandy Warhols, ex-Stone Roses frontman Ian
Brown, and Spiritualized to name a few. Up and coming bands featured on the bill
include excellent Antipodeans The Vines, My Vitriol. Idlewild, Mull
Historical Society and Vex Red. The sold-out festival is held June 28-30 on
Eavis' farmland near the ruins of Stonehenge.
