Kate Moss, Robert Plant Scream Primally

Seminal UK indie act Primal Scream is preparing their new album, and, as is the case
with a number of acts lately, have roped in some celebrity friends to add some musical flourishes
to the product. NME is reporting that Kate Moss, supermodel waif
extraordinaire, features on a cover of the Lee Hazelwood/Nancy Sinatra classic "Some
Velvet Morning." Also working with the band on their first recordings since Exterminator in
2000 is Robert Plant who, strangely enough, lends his harmonica skills to "The Lord Is
My Shotgun." The tracks will either appear on the follow-up album, or as b-sides to UK
singles, the first of which, believed to be "Miss Lucifer," drops in June. The currently untitled
album is being recorded with ex-My Bloody Valentine and current Scream-er
Kevin Shields and ex-Sabres of Paradise brainchild and remixer extraordinaire
Andrew Weatherall.
